Due to the nature of electrical currents, live wires may cause serious injuries. Unfortunately, these injuries include electrical shocks or burns.
These issues can also cause severe damage to machinery and equipment. Some of this damage will be a minor inconvenience. However, in other cases, faulty wires can be responsible for major failures. Therefore, causing irreparable damage to equipment as well as finished products. Furthermore, it can cause damage to other equipment. This is in addition to potential property in the surrounding area.
Therefore, wire harness testing is absolutely critical.
Especially, testing for proper connections, as well as, inspecting for potential damage to the insulation jacket.
When performing Wire Harness Testing, our quality control department strictly follows the IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standard. This standard is a collection of visual and measured Quality Acceptability Requirements.
These standards include connector application as well as Cable, Wire, and Harness Assemblies.
